Pho – Free writing

Maybe in other places and other occasions, eating noisily is impolite, but with Pho, surely you will speak off-hand “Oh, dear! Delicious!”.

 

 In an autumn morning, it’s so cool that I like to take a ride around the city alone. While riding the streets, I bump into Pho 52 at G23, Huynh Thuc Khang street. Luckily, it’s 6:20am, so I take advantage of the deserted restaurant to drop by and order a bowl of Pho as usual.

This spacious Pho restaurant has replaced the small and desolate one from the past. Servers are very considerate. The life of a restaurant is, somehow, like a person, there are many vicissitudes. After many years building their image, they are famous for delicious Pho and well- serving restaurant. Then when it is crowded, diners are so heedlessly served that even the most regular customers leave.

Pho is not something to get full on, but rather a delicious food to enjoy every morning. It is available everywhere across the country. Pho Hanoi or Northern Pho is very distinctive. That’s why many writers like Vu Bang, Bang Son make people from both local and international countries bewitched by his charming words. They take people back to ancient Hanoi and taste the flavor of this food. When being served, people can smell the scent of fresh soup. The flavor of Pho with chicken is different from beef Pho..Pho can be served with a kind of fatty sauce, eggs and vinegar with capsicum. Noodles are big but soft. Bowls are now made from China and are more beautifully designed to make the food appear more delicious. Diners can eat slowly to enjoy good taste of Pho, but you feel the hot flavor and the best by eating quickly and noisily. You can eat the noodles first and then the soup or vice versa, but once you serve both of them at the same time on a spoon, it’s necessary to eat noisily. Maybe in other places and in other occasions, eating noisily is impolite, but with Pho, surely you will say to yourself “Oh, dear! Delicious!”.

People said that there were some outstanding old restaurants such as Pho Thin at Bo Ho, Pho Co Cu andPho Bat Dan. Nowadays, there are few restaurants that are as well-serving. High living standards are rising so quality competitions among restaurants bring about many choices for diners. If anyone likes Pho with beef, it’s advisable to visit the restaurant at 58, Huynh Thuc Khang. For those who like Pho with chicken, come over to Pho Ban at Ton Duc Thang, and then travel to the above old restaurants. That’s an interesting experience.

Eating noisily with some spoons of spicy Pho, I feel comfortable, not worried about having a hungry stomach. So simple.
